Renal failure predicts mortality after NSTEMI

Renal failure has long been known to be a risk with cardiovascular disease, and this article out of the Archives Of Internal Medicine shows that the combination of NSTEMI and prior renal dysfunction is high risk. 




30 day mortality was 7.2% in the group with kidney disease, compared with just 1.7% in the control group, with an odds ratio on multivariate analysis just shy of 2.
