Going nuts for lipids


Bit of a focus recently on lifestyle modifications for hypercholesterolaemia, and this week an article out of the Archives of Internal Medicine shows that nut consumption can improve your lipid levels by around 5-10%.



Interestingly, the nuts have a better effect if you have a low BMI, and the more nuts you have, the better! Good way of targeting all age groups, but particularly younger patients with borderline lipids who are keen to avoid medications.
