Just a follow up on a previous article that we mentioned about using chest compressions only in CPR – it looks like it just might be the way to go, based on this new meta-analysis published in the Lancet.
Pooled data from three RCTs showed an improved chance of survival with compression only CPR as compared with standard CPR – by about 2%. When looking at the observational studies, there was no significant difference.
