We’re used to getting our selection of articles from the big names – NEJM, Lancet, BMJ, JAMA – as well as the standouts in the individual fields – but the cutting edge can come from elsewhere as well.
A lot of you have been involved in research as students, but where to put all that interesting stuff? Check this out – the all new Australian Medical Students Journal. With an excellent website and backing from Kevin Rudd himself, it’s an excellent collection of articles and a great place for you to submit your original ideas. It’s also a good place to see what your fellow students are doing, and what their views are on current medical issues.
Get cracking then – think of an idea that you are genuinely interested in, find a supervisor, and get involved in research. Meanwhile, visit AMSJ here.
